"It's an emotional journey that stroszek takes us on and is made all the more vivid by the fact that Claudio is an extremely gifted songwriter and musician, able to not only visualize his thoughts and feelings musically but also to express and perform them with great skill, creating beautiful haunting songs and melodies that evoke a broad spectrum of moods and feelings. What's obvious is that every song presented on each album has a reason for being here, there's nothing out of place, nothing wasted, indeed every note serves a purpose and serves to create a vivid musical vision that I'm in no doubt sounds exactly as Claudio intended. There's no filler here or fat in need of trimming and even the new additions of the two cover songs fit perfectly well into the proceedings, hardly surprising as the artists in question have undoubtedly been a key influence and stroszek's take on the songs makes them a great addition to the collection."

"accessible but secretive, sad but knowing, solitary but full of shared feeling, “sound graveyard bound” is a fantastic testament to the talent of stroszek. it works brilliantly as an album, moving from one dreamy frontier of feeling to the next, each track well-considered and carefully wrought, but also building an extremely coherent overall atmosphere. the guitar work alone will stop you in your tracks; this is the perfect album for musing, remembering and wrestling with the gentler inner demons."

"life failures highlights alcara's talent as a master songwriter. whether it be "the unlucky ones," "the devil's chair," "undead hotel," or any of the other masterpieces on this album, everything echoes depression and resignation all the same; stroszek is honesty. Perhaps you can hear the truths in alcara's voice, as he sings just beneath a whisper."

the wild hunt reviews:
review from lunar hypnosis webzine - 09/01/2010 read (no rating)

"if you’ve ever heard any of the frostmoon eclipse acoustic pieces then you’ll already know that his playing is utterly breathtaking, beautiful and elaborate sounding in its execution and stroszek is certainly no different. each of these four songs are well composed gripping pieces of music that keep me entertained and craving more. claudio’s voice conveys an introverted and depressive quality but as I already said it’s very sincere."

songs of remorse reviews:

review from invisible oranges webzine - 11/07/2007 read (no rating)

"I absolutely adore this album. it's dark, it's introvert, it's atmospheric. the music is played excellent, and there's enough variation in the eleven songs. as I said, it's mostly acoustic, but sometimes claudio picks up the electric guitar (or simply switches a setting), and the music takes a slightly different, yet equally pleasing and entertating direction. the packaging and artwork fit the music excellent; white backgrounds with mostly brown colors on top. the typewriter font used also adds to the atmosphere and completeness of the album. 42 minutes of some of the best and relaxed music can be found on this disc. a must have."
